For something to finish
Or something to happen
Until we can get married
Or the baby arrives
Or the child starts school
Or the kids grow up
Now I want to spend my life living,
Here in the moment where I am
Instead of yearning for the tomorrow
Which will slip in unnoticed anyway
And be gone before I even know it's arrived.
I've been participating in the Writer’s Workshop over at Sleep is for the Weak authored by Josie George. This week (Week 36#), I was inspired by the 5th prompt, "Waiting".
