When I first came out to India sixteen years ago, Christmas Day was just a day like any other. Government offices and schools closed down but the festivities never touched me, apart from when I went to Church. Nowadays, what a difference. The local shopping centre is beautifully decorated both inside and out and the television programmes and newspapers are too.
I love my Christmases here and some of the local food is so good and so much associate with Christmas that Christmas wouldn't feel complete without them. I can't believe there has been such a turnaround in a few short years.
